The Plumbing Services Manager leads the delivery of Modern Niagara's plumbing

service operations, including maintenance, time and material, and service projects. This role provides leadership to service teams while partnering with clients, account managers, and regional leadership to deliver safe, high-quality service that exceeds customer expectations. Success in this role is measured through strong financial performance, exceptional client relationships, operational excellence, and the development of a high-performing service team.

  • Deliver safe, profitable, and high-quality plumbing service operations while achieving regional financial and operational objectives.
  • Build long-term client relationships through exceptional service delivery, responsive communication, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing service team by fostering a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the plumbing service business, including maintenance, time and material, and service projects.
  • Manage the regional profit and loss (P&L) for plumbing service operations, including budgets, forecasting, work-in-progress, and overall financial performance.
  • Ensure all service work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with Modern Niagara quality standards.
  • Oversee technician scheduling and workforce planning to maximize productivity and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Partner closely with Account Management and Business Development teams to strengthen client relationships, support customer retention, and grow the maintenance portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for building owners and key clients, resolving issues quickly and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with billing, dispatch, estimating, and field teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in regional Senior Leadership Team meetings, contributing to operational planning, business strategy, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop technical and support staff while fostering employee engagement and retention.
  • Support performance management, career development planning, and succession planning for team members.
  • Champion Modern Niagara's safety culture by ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote collaboration across departments in support of the One Modern approach and integrated service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the effective use of ERP systems, scheduling tools, and operational technology.

Must Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in a plumbing, mechanical, or building services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing maintenance, time and material, and service project operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, work-in-progress, and P&L performance.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing service operations, construction practices, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP or computerized scheduling systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience leading multi-trade service operations.
  • Experience supporting business development and maintenance agreement growth.
  • Familiarity with integrated building systems and lifecycle service delivery.
  • Experience participating in strategic planning and senior leadership initiatives.
  • Knowledge of modern field service management software and operational reporting tools.

This is a replacement position. Expected annual compensation: $110,000 -

$130,000
