What is the opportunity?
This position is responsible for reviewing and assessing new Life and Living Benefits policy applications. This is a full production environment very heavily focused on comparative analysis between the application submitted vs. the data entry input into the workflow system. Strategic priorities encompassed within the role include providing detailed review of documentation accuracy and quality, very strong written communication skills, out of box thinking and problem solving, as well as risk mitigation practices and procedures.
What will you do?
- A comparative review of the application submitted vs the data entry completion in the workflow system, correcting/noting as applicable any divergences per our documented process requirements.
- Reviewing and determining the client eligibility for Temporary and Conditional (TIA/CIA) insurance, including processing policy payments for TIA/CIA eligible clients via banking info or credit card info, creating and sending formal communications to clients and sales regarding TIA/CIA ineligibility, and facilitating refund processes when necessary.
- Complete a prior policy search using the clients provided data. Report any previous policies found to the Underwriter for review.
- Ability to change and adapt as the portfolio of products are newly developed and/or updated.
- Maintain strong quality of output according to the defined processes as determined through audits.
- Track and maintain inventory of completed work and decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners within New Business Operations team and with our internal and external sales partners.
- Excellent written communication skills for both email and formal letters.

- Documented experience and ability to follow outlined processes and procedures.
- Experience in working within a varying array of applications (ie. standard business applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, and experience using proprietary processing software).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability of high value output while meeting key performance metrics: Productivity, Quality and TAT (turn-around-time).
- A team player, contributing not only to achieve personal goals, but also those of the team and department.
