Through Their Path to Becoming CPAs

(Contract until January 2028)

CPA Ontario is currently in search of anAdmissions Specialistto support complex and escalated international admissions files within the Registrar’s Office. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary contact for advanced inquiries and appeals, ensure service-level adherence, prepare external reports, support system testing and enhancements, and contribute to provincial and national committee work. You’ll partner closely with applicants, internal teams, and external stakeholders while supporting the Admissions Manager on ad-hoc special projects. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities with accuracy, and upholds CPA Ontario’s regulations and standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Driving the review of complex international admissions applications, applying your keen eye for detail and discretion to ensure fair, accurate, and high‑quality decisions.

Acting as the go-to expert for escalations while ensuring compliance with provincial SLA requirements.

Championing continuous improvement by testing and validating Salesforce enhancements, owning test cases, approving new functionality, and helping shape a smoother, more efficient admissions experience.

Playing a key role across the Admissions team by supporting legal matters, contributing to proposed regulatory updates for executive review, and representing CPA Ontario at stakeholder webinars and events.

Providing support to the Registrar on membership status appeals and taking the lead on preparing appeal response documentation.

Contributing to and leading projects and activities supporting organizational initiatives and ensuring ongoing process improvement.

Who You Are:

A post-secondary graduate with a degree or diploma and a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in a complex, rules and standards driven regulatory, membership or customer-oriented environment.

A dynamic and well-rounded administrator with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, able to work well under pressure, while meeting time-sensitive and competing deadlines.

Experienced with CRM systems such as Salesforce and comfortable learning new tools; experience with Power BI considered an asset.

Digitally fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.Committed to ongoing training and a desire to learn new technology and continually expand upon knowledge and expertise.

A personable relationship builder and communicator with excellent customer service skills.

A strong communicator (verbally and written) with excellent interpersonal, presentation, relationship building, customer service and negotiating skills.

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this position is between $66,300 and $82,900 per annum, based on candidates’ qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
