CRA's National EE Staffing Strategy strives to eliminate gaps for the four EE designated groups: Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and women. Where an EE gap exists at the time of appointment, EE may be used as an appointment criterion for permanent and temporary appointments over six months made through this process.
Employees are required to work on-site at a CRA-approved location a minimum of three days per week or 60% of their regular monthly work schedule. Individual exceptions may be granted based on individual circumstances and the nature of the work being performed.

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) currently has restrictions on certain hiring activities. As a result, any staffing from this process will be limited to temporary opportunities. Permanent staffing may be considered if circumstances change while this pool is still valid.

Who can apply
- Any individual residing in Canada, and Canadian citizens and permanent residents residing abroad.
- AND eligible veterans and Canadian Forces members.
Preference for appointment will be given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
- AND individuals with preferred status who live or work less than 40km from the position(s) being staffed.
Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however, be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.

Minimum staffing requirement
To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
Education for SP-04 and SP-05:

Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or CRA-approved alternative*

CRA-approved alternative to a secondary school diploma include:
-
A satisfactory score on the CRA-approved test (General Competency Test: Level 1 – GCT1-207 – Pass mark 28)
If candidates already have a score of 28 (or above) on the GCT1-207 test, they do not need to re-take it to meet the alternative to a secondary school diploma.
If candidates have taken the General Intelligence Test - GIT-320 as an alternative to a secondary school diploma and passed (pass mark is 80), they do not need to take the GCT1-207 for this purpose. Candidates can use their score on the GIT-320 as an alternative to a secondary school diploma.
For certain SP-05 positions, the following education may be required :
- Successful completion of the following courses or field of studies from a recognized postsecondary institution or from a recognized professional accounting association:
- Group II – Education standard for Intermediate Accounting.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)**Intermediate Financial Reporting 2 or FA3 or Intermediate Financial Accounting 2 or Intermediate Accounting 2.
**An exception to the minimum education standard can be applied for this staffing process. However, some positions in certain offices may require the intermediate accounting (Group II) education. Therefore, intermediate accounting education may be used as a staffing requirement.
Foreign education credentials and designations:
If you have foreign education credentials, you must have your education credentials confirmed by a recognized credential assessment service and provide proof of Canadian equivalency to the staffing board. For more information, visit the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.
If you have a foreign accounting designation, you must have your designation confirmed by the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada (CPA).
Any applicable fees are your responsibility.
You must upload your education credentials, your transcripts and all your accountant courses in the education section of your candidate profile and submit all required documents by the closing date and time of this poster.
