The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Sales Representative will join our experienced sales team generating leads and developing projects with the support of the Solvest Technical Team. As a sales rep, you will develop new client bases by prospecting and qualifying leads. You will manage your own sales pipeline, ensuring the client is supported through all phases of project development before being transitioned over to operations support for project execution.
This is a remote position, reporting to our Whitehorse head office from anywhere in Canada.
Employment Status: Permanent Full Time trialing a 4-day work week – 36 hours per week
Wage Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year + competitive commission structure

You’re a self-motivated seller who cares about matching clients with the most economic solution. You can build a pipeline from scratch and work seamlessly with the rest of the team.
You’re as comfortable in a boardroom with commercial leaders as you are partnering with municipalities, nonprofits, and community organizations to bring projects to life. You’re ultra-organized, painfully persistent, adept with CRM hygiene, forecasting, and collaboration. You turn insights into action, and you enjoy representing the brand through everyday practice, attending community events, trade shows, and stakeholder meetings.
Job Description:
- Take ownership of region/market/client type with a focus on commercial and community-scale projects; define ideal customer profiles, target accounts, and develop engagement strategies for existing and new markets;
- Organize leads according to company priorities and maintain open communication with clients and sales team;
- Coordinate with internal teams to produce compelling proposals and presentations tailored to each client;
- Maintain rigorous CRM discipline: document efforts, activities, next steps, and close plans; ensure forecast accuracy and data hygiene. Track performance metrics and report KPIs to Sales Team at weekly meetings;
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, and content;
- Elicit client and lead feedback to improve business development processes and content;
- Partner with operations department to ensure a smooth handoff and exceptional customer experience;
Success Measures (KPIs):
- Pipeline volume and velocity
- New client engagement and rate of leads transitioning to project development
- New client/project qualification
- Rapid turn around of comprehensive proposals
- CRM data accuracy
- Well defined and smooth hand over to operations on closed won deals
Required Skills/Qualification:
- 3+ years of B2B sales (commercial accounts and/or public/community sector), with a track record of new business generation and closing multi-stakeholder deals.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools; disciplined approach to data and forecasting.
- Strong collaboration skills; experience working cross-functionally
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication; strong organization and follow-through.
- Ability to travel within region and attend community/industry events as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Background check.
- Driver’s license and minimum 3 years claims experience history.
