Job summary
The Computer Operator supports the store"s overall operations. The role includes data entry, computer maintenance and troubleshooting on Point of Sale and inventory systems.

Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain data in computer operating systems and run necessary reports.
- Perform back-ups and upgrade on front-end and back-end systems.
- Adjust data/inventory/pricing information on all systems.
- Activate/deactivate and ensure promotional deals are on schedule.
- Print signs, label and merchandising lists, where applicable.
- Ensure that all computer equipment and cash registers are in proper working order and arrange for maintenance, repairs and system recovery when required.
- Handle assigned incoming/outgoing reports and messages for the Dealer and/or Store Management.
- Communicate relevant information from Canadian Tire Corporation"s portal to respective Store Management and staff.
- Support floor staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements / Skills
- Knowledge of computer operating systems
- Results-oriented and solid organizational skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
