About the role

Job Description:

Are you ready to lead a high-performing analytics team that drives impactful data solutions across the organization? GEM is seeking a Team Leader - Analytics to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of robust reporting and analytics frameworks that empower data-driven decisions. You will oversee critical BI initiatives, including the strategic migration of legacy reporting systems, and guide the creation of innovative analytics products that deliver measurable business value.

What does your typical day look like?

  • Lead the end-to-end development, deployment, and enhancement of advanced reporting solutions and dashboards.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, effective data visualizations and actionable insights.
  • Define and develop new analytics product offerings tailored to customer needs and emerging opportunities.
  • Oversee multiple analytics projects by setting priorities, managing resources, and ensuring timely, quality delivery.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your analytics team, fostering a collaborative and agile culture focused on continuous growth.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align analytics output with strategic organizational goals.
  • Process requests from international corporate clients.
  • Implement projects or training throughout our different sites, including those outside Quebec.

What skills and training do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, BI reporting, and data visualization.
  • Proven experience managing BI migrations (e.g., Cognos to Power BI).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms (Power BI expertise preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
