Here’s the job opportunity…
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, IT Data Analytics & Integration, you will utilize technical and analytical skills to support the continual development of an enterprise-wide BI function. You will participate in the requirement analysis, design and building out of architecture, solutions, and processes to transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. In this role you will:
- Design and implement data lakehouses, data warehouses, semantic models, and data engineering pipelines within Microsoft Fabric unified data platform.
- Develop KPIs, performance metrics, and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
- Build predictive analytics models and machine learning solutions to support business forecasting and optimization.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Utilize critical thinking and resourcefulness to overcome system related technical issues and implement effective solutions
- Maintain knowledge and expertise of current industry trends, standards, and best practices in the areas of modern data platforms, Business Intelligence and Machine Learning.
What we are looking for…
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in BI, Data Analytics, Data Science or Machine Learning.
- Strong proficiency in writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries (T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
- Proficiency with Python or R, Data Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and experience developing interactive dashboards
- Experience with Data Science, AI and Analytics
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple terms for non-technical users
The following while not a requirement would be considered an asset:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including data architecture design and data engineering
- Experience with Git or other source control systems
- Experience with classical ML algorithms (predictive modeling, classification, regression, and clustering techniques)
- Experience with Metadata management, Master Data Management, Data quality management
- Insurance or financial services industry experience is an asset
- Certifications in data analytics and Microsoft Azure
