About the role
Role:
We have an immediate opening for a Painter/Warehouse Worker located in the Edmonton branch. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the laborer will usually work as part of a two-person crew, this position will assist in the painting and modification of residential or commercial doors while also assisting with various warehouse duties. This role is a permanent, full time position with opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities:
General warehouse duties will apply daily, as well as, painting, building, and overlay of door panels. Processes all incoming materials and outgoing shipments. Maintains inventory control. Makes deliveries and pick-ups. Warehouse upkeep, regular cleaning and maintenance.

Works in a team setting and provides assistance to team members as needed.

Conducts inventory checks and provides reports to Warehouse Manager. Maintains rolling inventory of continuous jobs per company policy and procedure.

Conducts quality control checks on production.

Keeps warehouse neat and organized. Keeps work areas clean and neat, with an overall cleaning weekly, and as needed. Places all materials in proper the areas.

Logs in all deliveries and provides sample and quantity information to manager.

Makes deliveries and pick-ups and gets appropriate signatures.

Maintains cleanliness and service of company vehicle including such items as gas, oil changes, update inspection sticker, keep current insurance card in glove box.

Creates recycle pallets and calls for pick-up.

Has a general knowledge of industry standards, company policies, and procedures.

At days end, ensures equipment has been turned off, and building is secured per company policy and procedures

Qualifications

- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- New hire candidates will be required to provide a current Driver’s Abstract from the province in which the position is located, at their own cost
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including background check, drug, alcohol, and health assessment
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
