Join Our Team as a CNC Machinist – Boring Mill!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is looking for a CNC Machinist – Boring Mill to join our talented Tool & Gage team in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We are hiring for a steady night shift position.
If you are passionate about machining precise components for innovative tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages, this opportunity is for you. Both challenging and rewarding, this position will require you to collaborate with other skilled machinists and toolmakers to deliver high-quality results for our customers.
What you’ll get to do
- Blueprint and Schematic Review: Analyze blueprints and schematic drawings to determine machining processes, dimensions, and assembly procedures using your knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, and machining methodologies.
- CNC Programming and Machining Operations:
- Program the machine using a Fanuc controller in conjunction with Mastercam machining software
- Recognize the functions of the controller capabilities and program parameters to load, evaluate and run a specific program
- Operate laser and probe for precision tool and datum pickup
- Adjust machine settings, feeds, and speeds as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Verification and Conformance: Verify the accuracy and alignment of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and gauge blocks to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances.
- Post Machining Detailing: After machining, deburr and finish details by filing, tapping, grinding, or scraping.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: 3+ years of machining experience.
- Qualifications: Completed apprenticeship and certification as a machinist are assets.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong safety focus with attention to detail for precise machining
- Knowledge of G-code, M-code, as well as GD&T principles
- Previous experience using a Fanuc controller
- Familiarity with Flexible Clamping System (FCS) for CNC machines is an asset

The expected compensation for this position is $29.00 – $33.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
