About the role

POSITION SUMMARY The Project Manager, Central Support is a 12-month term position that plays a critical leadership role in two key areas: supporting the seamless operational and cultural integration of new stores into our organization and providing project management support for a special project led by the Central Operations team. This position oversees cross-functional integration plans and ensures milestones are met by coordinating efforts across departments, streamlining processes, and facilitating key meetings and communications. This role is instrumental in ensuring that both store integrations and assigned projects are executed efficiently, with minimal disruption, and deliver lasting business value. This is not a people manager role. The Project Manager, Central Support, does not have direct reports and will lead through influence, collaboration, and cross-functional coordination. RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management & Planning

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of integration projects using project management tools (e.g., Smartsheets).
  • Develop and maintain integration workplans, timelines, and deliverables across business functions.
  • Participates in Integration department meetings by building presentation decks, scheduling meetings and conference calls, recording meeting minutes, coordinating agenda topics and following up on action items.
  • Plans, prepares and builds presentation decks for acquisition store kick-off meetings to cross functional group in collaboration with Corporate Development and Integration department team members.
  • Assist with the development and refinement of single and multi-store project plan structure.
  • Assist with project plan tracking and reporting to senior management; assist with follow-up to ensure cross functional team accountability for all acquisition related tasks.
  • Monitor progress, resolve roadblocks, and report on project status to senior leadership.
  • Utilize Smartsheets and other project tracking tools to coordinate tasks, monitor progress, and share updates with stakeholders.
  • To work effectively in special projects & project-management roles or environments where initiative, planning, design, prioritization, execution, time management, monitoring and controlling, holding others accountable, and completing work independently are critical to success.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to derive actionable insights related to acquisition targets, performance metrics, and integration outcomes. Communication & Engagement
  • Own integration communication strategy and execution to ensure alignment and clarity across stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate integration townhalls and closing meetings, including content development, logistics, and follow-up actions.
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams and acquired locations to ensure consistent messaging and expectations.
  • Assists the Director of Integration with communication to regional operations and senior management on acquisition store progress and performance. Operational Integration
  • Manages all aspects of acquisition inventory counts including scheduling inventory counts, developing & refining inventory count instructions and liaising with Finance department to ensure alignment on final inventory valuation.
  • Partner with Inventory and Operations teams to ensure accurate transfer and setup of inventory systems.
  • Manages, refines and presents all acquisition store level employee survey results to the Integration department. Utilizes results to make recommendations on Integration process refinements and improvements.
  • Assist the Integration department in identifying further process refinements and efficiencies to improve the proficiency and volume of change implementation with acquisitions stores.
  • Define and optimize key processes needed for integration success and long-term scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions. Special Projects
  • Support the leadership and execution of strategic, centrally led project(s), including developing and maintaining project plans, tracking progress, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Facilitate working group meetings, capture decisions and action items, and provide regular project status updates to senior leadership.
  • Proactively identify risks, interdependencies, and issues; escalate as appropriate to ensure successful delivery within established timelines. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a combination of experience and education in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a Project Manager or related role.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (Smartsheet)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools (MS Project, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with SaaS platforms is considered an asset.
