Marketing Specialist
About the role
Matchtech are supporting a key client with the requisition of a Senior Proposal Strategist to lead the development and execution of winning proposal strategies across complex pursuits. This position plays a key role in managing the full proposal lifecycle, working closely with business development, project management, and technical teams to create compelling submissions, differentiate solutions, and support successful business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of proposal plans, win strategies, storyboards, and submission schedules. Manage the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring high-quality and compliant submissions. Coordinate proposal team assignments and establish proposal management plans. Facilitate proposal reviews, including Pink Team and final review sessions, incorporating feedback to strengthen submissions. Support go/no-go decision-making processes and proposal kickoff meetings. Develop and present proposal graphics, visual concepts, and strategic messaging. Manage post-submission activities and maintain proposal documentation. Lead interview preparation sessions and support pursuit teams through the final stages of the bid process. Track and support the development of pursuit metrics, including budget, schedule, safety, diversity, and community engagement achievements. Coordinate project closeout documentation and deliverables. Prepare and submit applications for industry awards and recognition programs. Build and maintain professional networks through industry associations, conferences, and trade events. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and proposal best practices.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years of experience in proposal management, marketing, business development, or sales within a professional services environment. Experience within Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) organisations is highly desirable. Strong understanding of proposal strategy, pursuit management, and competitive positioning. Excellent technical writing, editing, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholder groups simultaneously. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Experience developing proposal graphics and visual content. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Adobe InDesign experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with the Shipley proposal methodology is preferred. APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification is preferred.
