About the role
Job Description We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Junior Planning Engineer to join our fast-paced, dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a role that requires both office and field-based work scopes. You will work with a team to determine best methods and equipment for engineered lifts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits as required for determining appropriate lift solutions.
- Work closely with Operations team to recommend equipment selection to best serve our customers.
- Develop lift plans using in-house CAD-based planning software.
- Effectively communicate project details to both internal and external customers who are responsible for executing the work.
- Ensure team adheres to Quality, Environment, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Travel within Atlantic Canada as required.
Qualifications
- An engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with preference given to Mechanical or Civil Engineer.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in construction industry is an asset.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD is a must.
- Detail oriented with a high level of organization.
- A team player who is also able to work independently.
- Performs well under pressure and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
