Bymark, a fine dining restaurant inspired by culinary icon Chef Mark McEwan, is a cornerstone of Toronto’s Financial District, offering an elevated experience that blends sophistication with contemporary culinary artistry. Known for our expertly crafted cocktails, extensive wine selection, and seamless service, we are seeking a skilled Bartender/Cocktailer to bring passion, precision, and hospitality excellence to our team.
About the Role
As a Bartender at Bymark, you will be responsible for curating an exceptional bar experience, ensuring that each cocktail and interaction reflects the highest standards of fine dining service. We are looking for a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes pride in their craft, and understands the art of personalized guest engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Excellence – Engage guests with a warm, knowledgeable, and polished approach, providing recommendations and ensuring a seamless experience.
- Bar Operations – Maintain a meticulously organized and clean bar, adhering to best practices in beverage preparation, presentation, and efficiency.
- Cocktail Craftsmanship – Prepare and serve a diverse range of classic and contemporary cocktails with precision, following all standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with fellow bartenders, barbacks, and the front-of-house team to maintain a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable service flow.
- Compliance & Accuracy – Uphold responsible alcohol service (Smart Serve certification required), accurately track over-pours and promotional drinks, and ensure all transactions are handled with integrity.
- Pre- & Post-Shift Responsibilities – Arrive early to prepare for service, stay organized throughout your shift, and complete end-of-night duties, including cleaning and restocking.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience & Expertise – Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a high-end or high-volume restaurant or cocktail bar.
- Passion for Craft – Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and mixology, with a commitment to continuous learning and creativity.
- Attention to Detail – Ability to maintain consistency, presentation, and precision in every drink served.
- Professionalism & Poise – A guest-first attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Availability – Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
