Program Eligibility:
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit).

Your Opportunity at SECURE:
This role provides the summer student with hands-on experience supporting the Drilling Fluids Technical team through technical support, execution, and planning activities. The student will gain exposure to real-world projects, including well summaries, project offset analyses, and technical program and proposal development, while contributing to the accuracy and quality of deliverables.
The Team:
The student will be part of a collaborative, dynamic team that works closely with Sales and Operations through the planning, execution, and review of drilling fluid projects. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with supportive colleagues who value teamwork, learning, and proactive problem-solving.
A Day in The Life:
- Be familiar with roles & responsibilities within the Fluids Technical group and participate as required.
- Prepare well summaries/recaps and project reviews as required.
- Effectively liaise and communicate with the Sales, Operations and Management teams to gather the critical information required for high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Assist with ideas and development of new or improved technical processes.
- Reviewing, tracking and prioritizing task requests. Organizing and filing job-related documents accordingly.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program and returning to studies following the work term; Engineering Sciences or Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Strong computer and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools like Power BI, are considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking, with initiative to take on new challenges.
- Adaptable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility in completing tasks.
