Job Summary:
We are urgently hiring an Electrical Quality Control Inspector for an upcoming assignment at Cigar Lake Mine in Saskatchewan. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, code requirements, and client standards.
This is a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) role on a 14/14 schedule. Flights leave out of Saskatoon on Fridays at 7:00am. Candidates must have electrical inspection experience and hold a valid Red Seal Electrician certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections on electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with CEC, CSA, SaskPower, and client standards
Identify deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions
Create and manage punch lists, inspection records, and quality reports
Support pre-commissioning and final acceptance testing
Track inspection progress, rework hours, and pass/fail rates
Liaise with site supervisors, electricians, and project management teams
Participate in client walkdowns and assist with turnover documentation
Promote and adhere to all site health, safety, and environmental policies
Requirements:
Red Seal Construction Electrician certification (mandatory)
Previous experience in quality control or electrical inspection
Strong knowledge of CEC, CSA, and SaskPower standards
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Comfortable working in remote, high-safety environments
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
Able to pass a Criminal Record Check and Drug & Alcohol Test
Required Safety Certifications:
Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
Fall Protection
SCOT (Safety Construction Orientation Training)
Fire Extinguisher
Telehandler (asset)
Ground Disturbance (asset)
ISNet (we can arrange if needed)
Compensation & Schedule:
$46/hour, hourly plus overtime:
First 8 hours daily = regular time
Next 3 hours = time-and-a-half (1.5x)
Weekends = all hours at time-and-a-half
11-hour days, Monday–Sunday while on site
14 days on / 14 days off rotation
Flights provided (depart from Saskatoon, Fridays @ 7:00am)
