We are adding a member to our team of sustainability consultants to provide focused leadership and forward-thinking solutions to our clients. The candidate will require interpersonal and project management skills to promote furthering the sustainability goals of multiple projects of various scales, using their extensive knowledge of the LEED standard. Whether facilitating sustainability visioning sessions, providing technical assistance while coordinating certification issues or influencing sustainability practices in the firm, you will work on real-world solutions with a team of passionate and sustainably-minded peers and mentors.
Your Role
- Assist in managing the LEED process for projects in the BD+C, ID+C, O+M rating systems (LEED v4 and LEED v4.1).
- Assist in managing BOMA BEST process for projects.
- Assist in managing the WELL and Fitwel process for projects.
- Assist in utility data analysis for ENERGY STAR and/or EWRB reporting.
- Assist in managing sustainability consulting on projects related to policy development, ESG, sustainability reporting, etc.
- Assist in project management of multiple projects simultaneously, including reviewing calculations, drawings, etc. to ensure each credit is properly documented.
- Effectively engage and educate clients and consultants.
- Update team managers on weekly basis of status of project documentation.
- Daily supervision of the project’s design and construction stages: monitor and coordinate architectural, engineering and construction firms’ documentation.
- Update project plans, status reports, and timelines ensuring goals are met and issues are highlighted early in the process.
- Successful documentation and submission of credits for review by certification bodies.
- Assist in creating in-house continuing education curriculum.
- Serve as a technical resource for internal and exterior clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Profil
- Passion for the environment and green buildings.
- Understanding of the LEED rating system. LEED Green Associate (LEED GA) is an asset.
- Understanding of building envelope and enclosures is an asset.
- Understanding of building systems, specifically HVAC systems is an asset.
- University or college degree.
- Level G driver’s licence.
- Attention to detail with strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills applicable to a team setting.
- Self-starter.
- Must thrive with personal responsibility and accountability while demonstrating and embracing open communication and team-oriented success.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), AutoCAD & Adobe Creative Suites is an asset.
