##About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, WPSHC seeks interested nursing students to join our Enhanced Extern Program. This is an exciting employment opportunity for students to work in a clinical environment where they can develop and consolidate competencies to prepare for the transition into a future registered role upon completion of their studies. Successful candidates will gain valuable patient care experience and build connections within an interdisciplinary team environment in a hospital setting.

Hours of work will be all shifts, including weekends.

##Basic Requirements

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Registered Nurse (RN) Students enrolled in an accredited baccalaureate nursing program;
• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Students enrolled in an accredited nursing program;
• Current certificate in BLS;
• Demonstrated excellent word processing and computer application skills, including Word and Windows;
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
