About the job
The Deputy Minister's Office (DMO) provides leadership and coordination across the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). MCCSS works to improve outcomes for children, youth, families, and individuals who need support, including those living in poverty, people with disabilities, and survivors of violence.
As Receptionist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the DMO runs smoothly. You'll manage inquiries, assist with administrative and front-desk support, and will serve as a first point of contact for the Ministry in a fast-paced setting where professionalism and discretion are essential.
You will:

Be the first point of contact: Answer calls, greet visitors, and direct inquiries for the Deputy Minister's and Minister's Offices.

Handle inquiries with care: Respond to questions and manage sensitive or urgent situations calmly and professionally.

Keep the office running smoothly: Maintain contact lists, manuals, and meeting room schedules, and ensure deliveries and supplies are handled promptly.

Support executive operations: Assist with technology for meetings, help with ministry-wide projects and events, and provide backup to administrative staff.

Stay organized: Record accurate messages, track caller history, and maintain electronic files.

Protect privacy and security: Follow confidentiality standards and alert security when necessary.

Mandatory requirements
You must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.
