THE ROLE Our client is a leading Canadian technology accessories company, with annual revenues of $30 million. They are looking to further strengthen their Data Analytics team as they are anticipating an exciting year of growth for their own brand of products. The Product Data Analyst Assistant will be trained by the team leader and work closely with the systems management as well as the planning teams. Candidates will be responsible for data/inventory management, maintaining accurate information in databases, preparing reports, creating analysis through Excel, supporting the Planner on ad-hoc activities.

Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Input and maintain all new product data within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and regularly performing updates to uphold data integrity.
  • Manage product classification, configure website listings through the ERP platform, and verify accurate display on the company’s website.
  • Prepare monthly reports to confirm all newly added products are integrated with 1World Sync for comprehensive product content.
  • Develop and oversee processes that enable efficient, complete, and accurate data collection and transfer into the ERP system.
  • Maintain data flow management and product assortment updates.
  • Update and manage pricing information across the ERP system and ensure timely synchronization with the company’s website.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure system accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain detailed databases of packaging materials for operational reference.
  • Compile and submit mandatory reports on multi-material usage to regulatory bodies (Recycle BC, ARMA, Multi-Materials Stewardship).
  • Support the Planner by analyzing data trends and assisting with inventory replenishment as needed.
  • Generate and analyze reports on sales performance, inventory status, vendor lead times, and periodic vendor sell-through metrics.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain and maintain up-to-date product information.
  • Assist with the coordination of receiving and shipping vendor samples.

Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to deliver a high degree of accuracy on data entry
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Comfortable with routine and systematic work
  • Experience with data analysis is advantageous
