ITN Food Corporation is seeking a hands-on, organized, and results-driven Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of our Surrey, British Columbia branch.

This is a full-time, in-person role suited for an operations professional with experience in branch operations, warehousing, logistics, inventory, customer coordination, receivables follow-up, team supervision, safety compliance, and process improvement.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will help manage and oversee branch activities, coordinate day-to-day execution, monitor performance, support customer service, and contribute to branch efficiency, profitability, and growth.

Candidates must be located in Canada, legally authorized to work in Canada, and able to work full-time in person at our Surrey, BC branch.

Job Overview The Assistant Branch Manager will support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations across warehouse, logistics, shipment receiving, inventory control, ordering, invoicing support, receivables follow-up, customer account coordination, team supervision, safety, compliance, and process improvement.

This role requires a practical leader who can direct daily priorities, coordinate people and processes, monitor operational risks, support customer relationships, and help ensure accurate, timely, and efficient branch execution.

Key Responsibilities

Branch Operations, Warehouse & Logistics · Manage and support daily branch operations, including warehouse activities, logistics coordination, shipment receiving, inventory control, ordering, customer coordination, and administrative follow-up. · Oversee storage organization, stock rotation, inventory audits, shipment accuracy, receiving documentation, delivery schedules, transportation follow-up, carrier communication, and route planning. · Coordinate procurement and ordering activities, including demand forecasting, purchase order follow-up, vendor communication, and cost-effective purchasing.

Finance, Receivables & Reporting · Support branch finance and accounting activities, including budget tracking, expense monitoring, invoicing support, receivables follow-up, customer ledgers, reconciliations, and operational reporting. · Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, maintain accurate records, and help resolve account discrepancies. · Follow credit decisions made by management and ensure customer account matters are handled according to company direction.

Performance, Compliance & Process Improvement · Monitor branch performance and support profit goals through efficient operations, cost control, service improvement, and accurate execution. · Identify operational risks and help implement practical mitigation measures. · Oversee compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. · Recommend and support improvements to strengthen inventory accuracy, delivery performance, customer service, warehouse flow, productivity, staffing efficiency, and standard operating procedures.

Customer Relations & Branch Execution · Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. · Support customer service through proactive communication, issue resolution, timely follow-up, customer setup/activation forms, account documentation, and reporting of any changes in customer status, ownership, management, activity, or account risk. · Coordinate branch-level marketing programs, promotional activities, customer initiatives, and sales support activities.

Team Leadership & Safety · Assist in leading, training, coaching, and developing branch team members. · Direct daily work priorities, support goal setting, monitor performance, coordinate workload allocation, and help maintain team accountability. · Promote a safe work environment by supporting health and safety practices, theft prevention measures, and operational safety protocols. · Maintain professionalism when working with customers, vendors, carriers, the public, management, and team members. · Perform other related duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in branch operations, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, retail/wholesale operations, food distribution, consumer goods, or a related operational role. · Experience in food, consumer packaged goods, retail, wholesale, distribution, or multicultural trade is strongly preferred. · Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will be considered. · Experience with budgets, expenses, invoicing, receivables, customer follow-up, inventory, logistics, ordering, reporting, branch administration, and operational coordination. · Strong understanding of warehouse operations, shipment receiving, inventory control, customer service, safety compliance, and process improvement. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience using ERP, inventory, accounting, warehouse, or order management systems is preferred. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, communication, follow-up, leadership, and customer service skills. · Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, handle interruptions, and manage multiple operational priorities. · Must be located and legally authorized to work in Canada. · Must be able to work full-time in person at the Surrey, BC branch. · Valid Canadian driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

· Pay: $60,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. · Employee benefits include paid time off, on-site parking, and employee discounts.
