What is the opportunity?
As a Customer Assistance Officer (CAO), you will bring your proactive nature and be the first point of contact, greeting customers and answering customer inquiries by guiding them to the right service. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the Insurance Advisors and accomplish various telephone and administrative tasks. RBC’s Insurance stores offer clients the ability to obtain insurance advice from qualified Insurance Advisors on an in-person basis within a branch environment.
What will you do?
- Put clients first and ensure excellent customer service is delivered from the first point of contact.
- Opportunity spotting customers’ needs via generated leads and referring them to the appropriate co-worker (i.e. Insurance Advisor or Regional Director).
- Activities include proactive outreach to clients via telephone or email to schedule appointments for the Advisors.
- Assist Insurance Advisors with administrative duties such as filing, confirming/booking appointments, ordering office supplies, photocopying, faxing and scanning documents, answering the telephone, correspondence, etc.
- Develop relationships with service partners and the local market to optimize business opportunities and referrals.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with particular emphasis on telephone sales skills
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Self-starter with proven initiative and ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities to provide maximum impact.
- Completion of LLQP license within six months of start date.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in the Insurance industry.
- Call Centre experience is an asset.
