About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for Data Warehouse & .NET Modernization to lead the modernization and automation of our data and application delivery processes. This role requires deep expertise in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines across complex, multi-technology environments, with a strong focus on GitLab, SQL/PLSQL, Shell scripting, Control-M, and .NET frameworks. You will be responsible for enabling seamless automation across both legacy and modernized stacks, driving efficiency and scalability across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Design & Implementation:
  • Architect, design, and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for both the data warehouse and .NET application stacks.
  • Data Warehouse Modernization:
  • Implement version control for SQL and PLSQL code.
  • Automate compilation, testing, and deployment of PLSQL packages, functions, and procedures.
  • Integrate Control-M job scheduling with GitLab pipelines for automated job promotion and management.
  • Automate execution and monitoring of data warehouse processes triggered by CI/CD.
  • .NET Application Modernization:
  • Implement CI/CD for .NET framework projects, including build automation, testing, and artifact management.
  • Configure deployments across multiple environments (Development, QA, Production).
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate best practices for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Scripting & Automation:
  • Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using Shell scripting (Bash) to orchestrate processes across systems.
  • Infrastructure & Tooling:
  • Work with infrastructure teams to configure environments that support new CI/CD processes. Manage GitLab Runners and integrate complementary DevOps tools for optimal performance.
  • Collaboration & Mentoring:
  • Partner with data warehouse engineers, .NET developers, and operations teams to embed a DevOps culture. Mentor team members on CI/CD principles, tooling, and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
  • Provide expert-level diagnostics and resolution for pipeline failures, deployment issues, and automation errors.
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of all pipelines, automation scripts, and deployment procedures.

Technical Profile

  • CI/CD Pipeline Expertise:
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multi-language, multi-platform environments.
  • Database Automation:
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and PLSQL, including database deployment automation and migration management.
  • Scripting Proficiency:
  • Expert-level knowledge of Shell scripting (Bash) in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Job Scheduling Tools:
  • Hands-on experience with Control-M or equivalent enterprise job schedulers, focusing on automation and integration.
  • Application Deployment:
  • Proficiency in .NET Framework build and deployment pipelines.
  • Optional / Preferred Skills:
  • Scripting in Perl or Python.
  • Containerization with Docker.
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience within cross-functional technical teams.
  • Ability to collaborate across data, application, and infrastructure domains to achieve unified DevOps adoption.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on implementation capability for automation and modernization initiatives.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $26.41/hour - $41.26/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
