Overview: Pembina’s Information Services Unit (ISU) is actively hiring for a Senior Analyst, SharePoint for a full time position and a 6 month contract term to join our Productivity Solutions team. This is a key technical role responsible for driving the development of robust, scalable, and governed solutions on the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform stack.

As the Senior Analyst, SharePoint, you will be a subject matter expert in low-code application and automation development. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technical foundation for our new "Core Productivity Services" tier by designing and building a library of reusable components and templates. You will tackle the most complex development challenges suited for the platform while mentoring other team members and championing development best practices.

This position will be both a full-time position and a 6-month contract term. Please provide your choice in the application process. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and other M365 technologies to meet critical business needs;
  • Lead the technical design and creation of a library of standardized templates and reusable components to accelerate the delivery of common business requests;
  • Develop custom SharePoint functionality using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) when out-of-the-box capabilities are insufficient;
  • Serve as the senior technical resource for the Core Productivity Services tier, handling the most complex solution requests and providing expert guidance;
  • Collaborate closely with the Platform Governance function to ensure all solutions are built in alignment with ISU’s governance, security, and application lifecycle management (ALM) standards;
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the Intermediate Productivity Developer and members of the Citizen Development program;
  • Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment;
  • Continuously adapt to emerging technologies and evolving technical requirements by actively acquiring new skills, applying innovative solutions, and integrating feedback into daily problem-solving;

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience;
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions on the Microsoft 365 platform;
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate (Cloud flows);
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint Online as a data source and development platform;
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform environments, data delegation, solution packaging, and ALM best practices;
  • Demonstrable experience building and troubleshooting complex, multi-step automated workflows;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design creative solutions for challenging business requirements;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment; and
  • Ability to rapidly acquire and apply new technical skills, tools, and frameworks in response to evolving project requirements and emerging technologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience developing custom web parts and extensions using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) with TypeScript and React;
  • Familiarity with connecting to and consuming data from various sources, including Dataverse, SQL Server, and custom APIs;
  • Knowledge of related Azure services that can extend the Power Platform, such as Azure Logic Apps or Azure Functions; and
  • Experience working within a formal Center of Excellence (CoE) or a similarly governed low-code development environments.
