Compensation Details**:**
- Systems Analyst - Tech Ops 18: Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location:
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office2days per week.(subject to change)
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, or Montreal.

Team and Job Overview:
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:
- Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
- Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitates its execution across all domains in the organization.
- Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
- Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
EDC’s Workplace Solutions team enhances organizational communication, collaboration, and business operations. The Copilot Support Engineer will deliver enterprise class end user productivity solutions, integrate and configure M365 Copilot capabilities, maintain M365 foundational services, and translate evolving Copilot features into support strategies. The role requires diagnosing issues across M365 workloads, supporting Copilot deployments, creating knowledge base articles, and guiding users through Copilot features. It also involves PowerShell automation, security and data governance, and liaising with engineering and vendor teams.
What you will be doing:
Copilot & M365 AI Platform Administration:
- Configure, deploy, and support Copilot for Microsoft 365 across the tenant.
- Administer Copilot Studio environments, solutions, connectors, and settings.
- Manage user access, environment setup, platform configuration, and technical controls.
Agent & Workflow Development:
- Convert business needs into AI agents, copilots, and automated workflows using Copilot Studio and Power Automate.
- Build and maintain conversational agents, topics, generative responses, actions, and integrations.
- Create custom connectors and M365 integrations that extend agent capabilities.
- Ensure all AI assets follow organizational design standards and technical requirements.
Technical Enablement & Rollout:
- Lead full lifecycle enablement for new AI features, from planning through release.
- Conduct testing, pilot deployments, and production rollout activities.
- Produce documentation, job aids, learning resources, and best practices.
- Support teams in adopting AI tools through training, demos, and hands-on guidance.
Operations, Monitoring & Maintenance:
- Oversee daily operations for Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform components, and related M365 services.
- Monitor agent performance, usage trends, and feedback to drive improvements.
- Perform updates, version management, component cleanup, and routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving M365, Graph integrations, and Power Platform.
Quality Review & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct agent and workflow reviews to ensure clarity, reliability, performance, and effective user experience.
- Validate agent logic, operational flow, and alignment with business needs.
- Work with teams to continuously refine agents, prompts, and workflows based on data and user insights.
Business Partnership & AI Strategy Execution:
- Work with business units to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements across processes and workflows.
- Recommend and design solutions using Copilot, M365, and automation tools.
- Help teams structure efficient business workflows enhanced by custom agents or AI automation.
- Contribute insights that support the broader enterprise AI roadmap.
What we are looking for:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in administering Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or related enterprise platforms.
- Practical experience developing solutions in Copilot Studio.
- Strong knowledge of Power Automate workflows and M365 service integrations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, M365 data architecture, and Entra ID concepts.
- Experience with generative AI, LLM-based features, or prompt design.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills.

- Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
