Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary Department / Research Program: Smart Hospital Project
Responsible for obtaining, validating, and analyzing international health economic data and translating it into decision-ready evidence. The incumbent will participate in health economic analyses for the MUHC Smart Hospital Project and related experimental products, including evaluations of third-party technologies.
Responsibilities include consolidating hospital and international cost inputs, developing and adapting economic analyses, and using R and Python–based modelling and simulation to forecast future costs and projected savings. The incumbent also supports worldwide analyses through collaboration with local market teams and stakeholders, coordinates HEOR study execution and vendor timelines/deliverables, and prepares submission dossiers and reports for research institutes, foundations, and payers.
General Duties
- Health economic data acquisition and preparation,
- Support in economic modeling, analytics and cost forecasting,
- Assistance with market access and HEOR activities,
- Evidence generation, including inputs for dossiers and submissions,
- Project coordination, documentation and stakeholder support,
- Scientific writing assistance,
- Coordination with external partners and vendors.

Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Public Health / Epidemiology / Biostatistics
Work Experience: Experience in data analysis or health research (internship or student experience accepted)
Required Skills
- Knowledge of French is required.
- An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
Work Site: 2155 Guy Street
