What you will learn:
- Gain insight into Bombardier’s value chain, especially within our manufacturing environment;
- Learn how to manage projects in a large aerospace company;
- Be guided by experts in the field.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Participate in the evaluation and proposal of advanced technology acquisition opportunities for machining, sheet metal, composites, and assembly sectors, enabling the organization to achieve technological excellence;
- Manage initiatives related to continuous improvement in manufacturing and assembly processes;
- Contribute to defining project execution strategies: content, scope, resources, timeline, costs, risks, quality management, communications, and training;
- Manage activities across different project phases: feasibility study, project mandate and business case, acquisition, implementation, and production launch;
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and resource availability;
- Prepare and present progress reports to various management levels;
- Coordinate the work of involved resources and act as the interface between different matrix departments;
- Manage change requests during project execution;
- Develop risk management plans including mitigation strategies;
- Participate in problem-solving and recovery plans;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our project management processes.
How to thrive in this role?
- You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or have other relevant experience;
- You have an interest in managing complex projects in the aerospace field;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational abilities;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry (an asset);
- Strong analytical skills;
- Passionate about achieving technological excellence;
- Ability to work in both English and French, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of MS Project (an asset).
Boarding Information:
- Location: Marcel-Laurin Plant 1
- Duration: 8 months
- Flexible workplace-Hybrid
It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
