DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Responsibilities

The Director of Operations oversees the overall business performance and profitability of an assigned region, including retail, franchise, and subcontractor operations. This role drives operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction across all locations.

• Manage P&L for the region, identifying and implementing efficiencies and cost-saving measures.
• Oversee operational excellence, ensuring profitability and high levels of guest and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Senior Management to develop and execute the regional business strategies.
• Drive business development by maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts and pursuing new growth opportunities.
• Drive compliance with all company programs and initiatives, including new store openings, product rollouts, and marketing programs.
• Ensure high standards of food safety and maintain strong audit scores.
• Promote effective communication with store management to ensure smooth operations and information flow.
• Coach and develop the regional team to ensure adherence to operating standards, including guest experience, food safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and health and safety.
• Attract and prepare new talent for future Regional Manager and Supervisor roles as needed.
• Recruit new franchisees as needed and support their onboarding.
• Maintain franchise relationships and provide operational, production, and sales support.
• Plan logistics with third-party distribution vendors.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting for the region.
• Foster and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of multi-unit management experience in the quick-service food industry.
• Experience in sushi, Asian cuisine, or grocery operations preferred.
• Proven success with driving profitability and business growth.
• Passionate about delivering an exceptional guest and customer experience.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office with the ability to analyze operational data.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent to achieve business objectives.
• Effective communication skills; bilingual (English/French)
• Ability to travel within the region with a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
• Valid driver’s license.
