Responsibilities:
Installation & Wiring
- Install security cameras (IP, analog, PTZ, and dome) according to site plans and client requirements.
- Drill holes and run cables through walls, ceilings, floors, roof spaces, and cavity walls as needed.
- Route CAT5e/CAT6 structured cabling and coaxial cables (RG59/RG6) for camera installations.
- Crimp RJ45 and BNC connectors and test connections for signal integrity.
- Mount raceways, conduits, cameras, control panels, door/window contacts, and sensors, and secure wiring using clips and staplers.
System Setup & Configuration
- Install and configure NVR/DVR systems, including camera mapping, recording schedules, and storage settings.
- Configure IP cameras by assigning static IP addresses, adjusting resolution and frame rate, and integrating with PoE switches and NVRs.
- Set up PoE switches and verify power delivery to cameras.
- Test and repair circuits, sensors, and security system components.
- Perform full system testing, including live video, recording, remote access, and motion detection.
Inspection & Compliance
- Inspect installation sites, review work orders and building plans, and determine material requirements.
- Identify issues such as loose connections or damaged insulation.
- Ensure installations comply with safety codes, building regulations, and company standards.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network-related issues.
- Assign IPv4 addresses to cameras and network devices as required.
- Diagnose problems such as signal loss, poor image quality, cable faults, and power failures.
- Provide on-site technical support and basic user orientation after installation.
General
- Stay updated on new security technologies and request replacement parts when needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent.

Experience in CCTV, security system installation, or low-voltage cabling preferred.

Knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6 and coaxial (RG59/RG6) cabling and connector termination (RJ45, BNC).

Experience installing and configuring IP cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and PoE switches.

Basic understanding of IPv4 networking and IP address configuration.

Ability to read site plans and wiring diagrams and use hand and power tools.

Troubleshooting skills for camera, cabling, and network issues.

Ability to work on ladders, in ceilings, and at various job sites.

Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
