Role Overview

The Field Supervisor (Coping) is responsible for leading field execution of coping, flashing, and cladding installations across multiple construction projects. This role ensures that all work is delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and company standards. Working closely with management teams, fabrication teams, estimating, and field crews, the supervisor coordinates labour, materials, fabrication timelines, and site logistics to ensure seamless project execution. This role plays a critical part in maintaining productivity, quality, and alignment between shop fabrication and field installation.

Success in this role means installation crews are well-coordinated, productive, and consistently delivering high-quality work aligned with project schedules. Fabrication and material flow are properly planned to avoid delays, and communication between field, shop, and project teams is clear and proactive. Projects are executed efficiently with minimal rework, strong safety performance, and high client satisfaction.

What You Bring to the Table

Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, cladding, sheet metal, or building envelope systems

  • 2+ years of experience supervising installation crews or field operations

  • Strong knowledge of coping, flashing, cladding, and sheet metal systems

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Experience performing material takeoffs, estimating support, and pricing adjustments

  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and labour coordination

  • Experience coordinating fabrication, material procurement, and site logistics

  • Familiarity with Ontario construction practices, safety standards, and site requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise coping, flashing, and cladding installation crews across multiple job sites

  • Coordinate daily and weekly scheduling of labour based on project priorities and timelines

  • Ensure all installations are completed according to drawings, specifications, and company standards

  • Monitor workmanship and site productivity, addressing performance or quality issues proactively

  • Coordinate material procurement, fabrication requirements, and delivery schedules

  • Work closely with fabrication teams to prioritize production and align with project timelines

  • Prepare takeoffs, assist with pricing, and support estimating for additional or change work

  • Communicate with clients, general contractors, and internal teams regarding schedules and site progress

  • Attend project and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment across operations

  • Maintain project documentation including site photos, reports, and progress tracking

  • Coordinate subcontractors where required and ensure alignment with project expectations

  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with all site and regulatory requirements
