Salary range(but not limited to):

74,800 - 91,400

Incentive plan

Annual bonus: 7.5% target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to 200% (subject to personal and company performance)

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, location etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We are seeking a versatile and high-performingBusiness Analyst Level IIto join our Business Analysts team within Brokerlink’s ePMO and work out of one of our offices inAlberta, Ontario, or Atlantic Regionon apermanent FT basis.

Reporting to the PMO Manager and working within ePMO Governance structures, the BA II acts as a primary liaison, interpreter and facilitator amongst various business stakeholders and the IT team. The BA II will analyze the needs of the company and users and document the business requirements to serve as the basis for systems’ specifications. You will collaborate to deliver on both large projects and small improvements through your understanding of the business, financial, and IT aspects of the requirements of a project. You are readily able to analyze business needs to support definition of optimal solutions. As an integral member of the ePMO team, you will support the project manager in defining scope, delivering key artifacts and providing consistent visibility to key stakeholders. You will also support the ePMO’s change advisors by identifying the current state, impacted groups and changes needed to reach desired outcomes

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Gather and document business requirements by leading and actively participating in stakeholder interviews, workshops and research, ensuring that all impacted parties are at the table
  • Analyze complex data sources to provide actionable recommendations
  • Document and evaluate current business processes, systems and workflows to identify areas for improvement
  • Translate and document business needs into technical specifications and user stories for development teams
  • Create detailed documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, QA testers and other team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in developing test plans to validate deliverables and support quality assurance activities and user acceptance tests
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions align with business goals
  • Participate in system design discussions and help define solutions that meet user requirements
  • Support implementation activities and provide post-deployment support to ensure system effectiveness
  • Identify and convey the impacts on business processes to support change management within business units by helping to create guides and visual documentation to bridge the gap between IT and business users.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending enhancements
  • Ensure documentation and processes comply with company standards and policies Stay informed on new technologies and industry trends relevant to the business domain.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or any combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience and knowledge in the insurance field is an asset
  • Leading by example, displaying team spirit, working independently and effectively are necessary in this role
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, self-starter who takes initiative and can drive projects forward with accuracy and minimal supervision. Owns deliverables and supports implementation on time, budget and quality.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills while maintaining a user-focused mindset with clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pivot between high-level strategy and day-to-day operational BA tasks. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes are also key traits that drive meaningful impact and long-term success.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with time sensitive deadlines -Analytical Skills:
    • Highly developed problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple sensitive files and initiatives simultaneously.
    • Analyzes, evaluates and interprets data to find trends, opportunities, issues and root causes
    • Able to identify gaps, applying insight and discipline.
    • Evaluates solutions and recommends options with pros/cons -Technical Proficiency:
    • Experience in Functional Analysis and Business Process Review.
    • Advanced skills in MS products, Power BI and other project systems.
    • Proficient in business use case writing, experience in collecting and documenting business requirements
