About the role
Job Summary Provide specialized clinical and laboratory diagnostic services to support patient care and clinical decision-making. Collaborate with healthcare teams to interpret complex laboratory data and maintain high standards of diagnostic quality. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic tests in clinical and laboratory environments. Analyze test results, correlate findings with clinical history, and prepare clear diagnostic reports. Consult with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to provide diagnostic guidance and recommendations. Develop, implement and monitor laboratory protocols, quality control measures, and safety procedures. Supervise, mentor and train laboratory staff, technologists, and trainees. Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities. Requirements Medical degree (MD) or relevant doctoral degree in clinical laboratory medicine or equivalent qualification. Completion of postgraduate residency or fellowship training in an appropriate specialty or equivalent clinical experience. Eligibility for or holding provincial/territorial licensure or certification to practice in the relevant specialty. Demonstrated experience interpreting complex laboratory and clinical data and producing diagnostic reports. Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance, accreditation standards, and laboratory safety regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
