Our Client is a privately owned HVAC Contractor and Fuel Supplier in Orangeville and is in search to bring on a Senior Accountant to join their team for a 16 month contract assignment. The role is in office located in Orangeville full time to start.
Responsibilities
This Senior Accountant role reports to the Director of Finance and will support full-cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, AP / AR oversight and day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close, prepare journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and support year-end reporting. Oversee AP/AR accuracy and provide backup support for AR, cash receipts, bank deposits, payment applications, and customer inquiries. Support financial analysis, accounting process improvements, and day-to-day accounting operations.
Must Have
Bachelor’s of Accounting, Finance, Business or related field CPA designation required or strongly preferred to be in program, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong full-cycle accounting experience with the ability to support AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end. ERP System Experience; MS Dynamics NAV an asset Excellent Excel Skills Organized and detail-oriented, and able to work in a small hands-on team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy
