Senior RF Design Engineer About The Company Our client is a cutting-edge manufacturer of CBRS and multiband wireless broadband solutions, dedicated to delivering essential internet connectivity across the globe. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Design Engineer to join the hardware team and help drive the development of next-generation wireless products. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, testing, and refining RF systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable hardware from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate RF transmit and receive lineups, including components such as PLLs, TCXOs, mixers, LNAs, PAs, and frequency converters.
- Capture schematics using OrCAD and contribute to PCB layout and review.
- Translate system-level specifications into RF hardware requirements.
- Select, evaluate, and approve RF and electronic components.
- Perform detailed RF measurements, including EVM, phase noise, linearity, and sensitivity.
- Analyze and troubleshoot prototype hardware during the NPI phase, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Create and execute test plans for functional and system-level validation.
- Support production testing and regulatory certification processes (FCC, ETSI, etc.).
- Mentor and support junior engineers in the team.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in RF/microwave product design, especially for outdoor applications.
- Proficient with RF test equipment: VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
- Strong foundational knowledge of RF theory and practical testing techniques.
- Experience with schematic capture tools-OrCAD preferred.
- Experience in millimeter-wave design or certification testing is an asset.
- Proven track record of delivering designs from concept through to production and certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-driven.
