The Parking Patroller provides operational support through upholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customers with parking needs.

Principal Job Duties

  • Monitor on-street parking meters for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route.
  • Issue approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of ordinances in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Upload handheld computer to obtain current information required for work on a daily basis.
  • Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas.
  • Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.
  • Contact appropriate individuals and document in the event of incidents.
  • Follow safety and work with airport security patrolling.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property.
  • Other related job duties.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of accurately recording vehicle information using electronic devices or manual tickets, as well as reconciling financial operations and revenue at the end of each shift.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Demonstrate the ability to seek improvement.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 22.67 kg
  • Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.)
