Location Yamaha Motor Corporation, North York ON Posted 2025-08-18 Deadline 2025-08-31 Job Summary As Product Line Manager, Low Speed Mobility (LSM), you actively oversee all aspects of Yamaha Personal Transport Vehicle and Limited Speed Vehicles including product planning, strategic execution, sales programs and promotions. You will be actively involved with business-to-business relationships, dealer network creation, provide direction for accessory development and assist with go to market campaigns. Your primary objective is to lead all LSM initiatives from end to end across the organization and drive growth for the category. Responsibilities

Product Planning

  • Represent Yamaha Motor Canada (YMCA) as lead contact in working with Yamaha Motor Corp (YMC), Yamaha Golf Car (YGC) and other Yamaha distributors on an ongoing basis during new model development. Participate in product validation, target customer identification, marketing planning and execution of new models.
  • Perform specific market research, analysis and reports which includes detailed competitive analysis of pricing and features & benefits that supports the positioning of our current & new models.
  • Develop a high level of product knowledge and market information that can assist in the positioning of key models. Prepare and present educational training materials for Dealers, Staff, partners and media that support new product introductions.
  • Work directly with the Parts & Accessories Development team to introduce relevant accessories. Localize accessory development where required to improve cost competitiveness and receptibility to the market.
  • Ensure product corresponds to changing compliance and regulatory requirements at the Federal, Provincial and Municipal levels.

Strategic Execution

  • Provide national strategy to Network Development Team in establishing a dealer and OEM partner network in line with organizational targets.
  • Implement Territory Strategic Planning (TSP) to maximize dealer engagement and expand market presence. Jointly develop sales target with the Director to ensure clear expectations to the Field team.
  • Lobby on behalf of Yamaha to positively impact legislation for the greater industry.
  • Solicit and create partnerships with government and commercial agencies to increase sales.

Sales Promotion

  • Manage and administer the LSM budget to ensure programs and promotional spend achieve targets while staying within desired budget
  • Develop and create all LSM sales programs (Wholesale & Retail) to ensure target and profitability achievement.
  • Ensure vetting and support of marketing initiatives to promote program launches and customer visibility.
  • Focus on sustainable profitability by minimizing promotional expense and adding value to Yamaha ownership.

Organizational Support

  • Support and direct Marketing Coordinators at various Media & PR Events, Consumer shows, demonstration rides and content creation as required.
  • Prepare reporting or information materials related to the LSM product group for corporate requirements and dealer meetings.
  • Assist with special projects as required

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma: Post-secondary, university preferred
  • Program of Study: Sales, Marketing, or Business Related
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 10+ years
  • Type of Experience: Sales & Marketing, PTV and/or LSV background

  • In depth market and product experience, industry and technical knowledge and relationships

Overtime Requirements

  • Occasional national travel within Canada Occasional travel internationally
