Reporting to the Manager, Cabin Standards and Processes, the Cabin Process Advisor is responsible to perform aircraft exterior and cabin inspections, based on Commercial standards and in support of departmental objectives. This position is also responsible for providing coaching to frontline Cabins employees to ensure commercial standards are met and grooming SOPs are adhered to. The incumbent will also participate in the development of best practices and support the development and launch of new grooming processes. Responsibilities: Analyze findings from inspections and provide feedback and recommendations on grooming and aircraft condition to meet standards and aircraft condition. Review grooming audit results, identify areas that require focus and missed opportunities. Ensure regular communication to station Leads regarding grooming stats, missed opportunities, areas of improvement and reinforcement of positive results. Provide coaching to frontline Cabins employees to ensure commercial standards are met and grooming SOPs are followed. This includes one-on-one debriefs with employees/crews that require additional support and/or score below target. Support the development and launch of new processes. Participate in the development of grooming best practices by conducting time and motion studies/trials/focus groups, analyzing results, and gathering frontline feedback. Review best practices, identify areas for improvement (including reducing costs to the operation) and provide recommendations. Act as an Operations Manager in the operations when required and assist with special projects. Provide visual content (pictures/videos) for training, playbooks, bulletins as required. Assess safety, warehouse, yard and Aircraft SOP on a fix interval. Develop KPI. Work closely with grooming operation or area not meeting target.
Post secondary diploma or degree in a related field (such as aviation, operations, or business), or equivalent combination of education and relevant operational experience. 3+ years of experience in an operational or process development environment. Demonstrated experience in airline operations, including exposure to cabin services, ground operations, or related environments is considered an asset. Ability to successfully obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) & Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit. Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate and develop frontline unionized employees to achieve operational objectives within a multi-disciplinary organization. Familiar with Transport Canada aviation regulations and norms (an asset). Familiar with Health Canada regulations and norms (an asset). Demonstrated capability to carry out projects independently to their successful completion within the budgeted time and cost. Ability to engage, motivate, and facilitate a cross-functional work team to achieve objectives. Demonstrated experience in cost & benefit tracking, and strong analytical skills. Strong orientation towards change management and passionately focused on measurable results. Fully proficient with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and use of the internet. Excellent analytical abilities, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent time management skills, ability to shift priorities on an ad hoc basis and flexibility with working hours. Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment. Conditions of Employment: Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment.
