Postdoctoral position in Logue lab located in the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba.
Position No. 28147
Responsibilities:
The recently established Logue lab located in the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba is seeking junior/senior postdoctoral fellows. Our group's research is supported by the Canada Research Chair Program and focuses on cell stress responses, in particular the Unfolded Protein Response (UPR). We are seeking enthusiastic individuals, with an interest in cell signaling pathways, to help us understand how the UPR controls cell-to-cell communication. The main duties will include;
- Perform the principal aspects of the laboratory work associated with the project.
- Provide intellectual input into the research project.
- Supervise junior undergraduate and postgraduate researchers in the lab.
- Disseminate the project's outputs through internal seminars, presentations at international conferences and peer-reviewed journal publications.
- Carry out other appropriate and relevant duties under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications and requirements

PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, or related area.

Strong background in molecular biology and/or cell biology.
-
Evidence of excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desirable Criteria
-
Experience working with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing systems.
-
Experience using multicolor flow cytometry for analysis of cell signaling pathways.
-
Strong publication record as first/senior author in peer-reviewed journals.
-
High motivation for research.
