As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play an important role in
maintaining that confidence by verifying product quality, supporting continuous improvement, and working closely with production teams to ensure our products consistently meet Westeck’s quality standards.
What You'll Do
Verify Product Quality
- Inspect products and materials throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements
- Perform dimensional inspections using measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to verify product conformity
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Support Quality Improvement
- Investigate product quality concerns and assist with identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality issues and promote continuous improvement
- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve product quality and consistency
- Participate in internal quality audits and other quality assurance activities as required
Contribute to Operational Excellence
- Promote safe work practices while supporting a culture of quality and accountability
- Assist with the development and maintenance of quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions
- Communicate quality expectations clearly and professionally across departments
- Support special projects and other quality-related initiatives as required
What You'll Bring
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and T-squares
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to build positive working relationships across departments
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspection, or auditing
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Product knowledge within the window and door manufacturing industry
- Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) or business management software
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, including revising and maintaining technical drawings
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active role that requires
- Sitting and standing for long periods
- Frequent walking, bending, with some squatting and reaching
- The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs (34 kg)
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
