As a Senior Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of projects within the constraints of scope, time and cost, and agreed levels of quality, within the organization's governance and project management framework.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake one or large projects and programs and manage them successfully throughout the entirety of the project lifecycle.
  • Create project plans, Waterfall/Agile/hybrid with clear articulation of business outcomes including, the metrics to confirm success of those outcomes and the identification of key underlying assumptions, business and technology risks, prerequisite initiatives, required supporting actions and intermediary outcomes.
  • Provide consulting and guidance on multiple projects/programs including business case preparation and developing creative/alternative approaches to problem resolution.
  • Facilitate schedule and cost forecasting - manage project scope/requirements changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts, remove barriers, and resolve minor project issues. Act as an escalation point for potential conflicts between direction and project constraints.
  • Lead project closure initiatives such as retrospect sessions, cross-functional team lessons learned analysis and financial closure.
  • Document action plans for any identified areas of improvement.
  • Work with external vendors and third parties (consultants, off shoring, outsourcing) and manage the relationships at the portfolio level.
  • Through collaboration and persuasion, you will direct stakeholders towards common objectives and goals.
  • Assess the impact on all areas of the business and develop thorough change management strategies to ensure successful implementations and high rates of adoption.
  • Support Product Owners in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
  • Support, educate and mentor project team members in all the project management methodologies and best practices and project management tools.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree, post-secondary education, and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with focus on IT cloud infrastructure, software integration, software development and information security.
  • Certified in one or more of the following: PMP, Prince 2, and 3PO
  • Proficient at managing business or technology projects, including organizational change management components (training and communications).
  • Experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • Solid organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
  • Resourceful and innovative, and strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Collaborative, communicative and energizing management style.
