Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our QA team supporting financial applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform. This role is ideal for someone passionate about software quality and eager to grow in a fast-paced, regulated financial environment.
Key Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in software testing or Quality Assurance, preferably in a financial services environment. Familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) tools and environments (e.g., SEU, PDM, DB2/400). Understanding of QA methodologies and financial data validation. Basic knowledge of SQL and financial reporting systems. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Exposure to financial systems such as core banking, payment processing, or investment platforms. Experience with RPG, ILE RPG, or CL programming. Familiarity with financial regulations and audit processes. Knowledge of test automation tools or scripting languages.
The expected base salary range for this position is $60 – $70 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
