As a Trolley Administrative Assistant, you will contribute to an outstanding guest experience onboard Kingston Trolley Tours by providing administrative support and leadership to our team of tour guides.
Pay range for this role ($18.60 - $22.60/hour) is tied to a candidate's specific qualifications and background.

Season: This is a spring-summer-fall seasonal position. The Kingston Trolley Tours operating season begins in April and ends in October.
Part-time up to 20 hours/week. Up to 30 hours in peak season (July-September). Qualifications
- Positive attitude and approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in other languages is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Experience using computers in an administrative setting is required.
- Previous experience taking reservations and working with ticketing software is an asset.
- Available for varying hours of operation.
- Valid G license required.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily administrative/scheduling tasks.
- Assist Trolley management team in season preparation and ongoing staffing needs.
- Brief tour guides on daily events and other important information (instructions, directions, etc.) ensuring they are ready for daily duties.
- Support an exceptional guest experience by keeping all staff informed and prepared, ensuring trolley operations run smoothly and convey accurate, timely information.
- Liaise with internal departments by phone and email regarding all trolley-related operations, including vehicle availability, routes, itineraries, and charter requests.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Kingston Destination Group products.
- Participate in safety demonstrations and training as a member of the trolley team.

The Trolley route covers all of Kingston's historic old town and shopping district, as far east as Fort Henry and as far west as the Kingston Penitentiary. In the summer season the Trolley makes nine stops at our most popular visitor destinations, including Fort Henry, the Penitentiary Museum, and Queen's University; you can hop off at any stop, stay for as long as you like, and then hop back on and continue your tour.
