About the role:

Reporting to Sr. Manager, Total Rewards, the Sr. Analyst, Total Rewards will support the analysis, implementation, communication and administration of competitive Total Rewards programs that align with the business strategy, goals and objectives. This role will provide support and subject matter expertise on employee compensation and benefits programs, processes, policies and other related initiatives that enhance the organization’s ability to attract, retain and engage qualified talent. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with a passion for process improvement, fairness, and data integrity—aligning with Fairstone’s commitment to responsible financial services and continuous innovation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist and collaborate in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual year-end compensation salary review and short-term incentive program
  • Complete salary surveys and conduct market benchmarking and trend analysis to assess competitiveness
  • Complete job evaluations in partnership with HR Business Partners
  • Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review a wide range of relevant compensation data to ensure the company's remuneration policies are competitive
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Business Partners to provide guidance on positions grades
  • Support the day-to-day administration of the employee benefit programs and disability management programs, including responding to employee inquiries with accuracy and urgency
  • Participate in the preparation and rollout of group benefits open enrollment campaign
  • Identify and recommend process improvements using best-in-class approach to mitigate errors and increase efficiency.
  • Recommend new processes to ensure they are cost-effective and consistent with market trends and corporate objectives
  • Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures for employee group benefits, compensation and recognition programs
  • Assist with the analysis and development of new and existing benefits and total rewards initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparing and delivering program communications and training for HR Partners and business clients as applicable

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in a Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits Analyst position
  • Knowledge of compensation salary planning, incentive programs, equity plans and market pricing is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point and HRIS systems
  • Experience with Workday, preferred
  • Experience with Job Evaluation (Mercer IPE) is an asset
  • Proficient with compensation research and data analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task on projects within tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail, follow-up and problem resolution
  • Ability to maintain confidential information is essential for this role
  • Bilingual: French and English, written and spoken - The ability to communicate in English is essential to fulfill the primary responsibilities of the position, which includes providing service and support to a national, bilingual client base.
