About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist supports corporate HR initiatives and helps foster an engaged, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace. You’ll partner with the Senior Director and leaders across the organization to implement HR programs that strengthen employee relations, improve communication, and reinforce a positive culture. You’ll also drive engagement efforts, support wellness and performance initiatives, and ensure HR practices align with Clarion’s strategic goals. This hands‑on, relationship‑focused role relies on your ability to build trust, anticipate needs, and champion continuous improvement to support both employees and the business.
This open vacancy is a full‑time, 12‑month contract position.
Estimated Compensation: $65,000.00 annually. This estimation reflects the budgeted compensation for this position. Final offers may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job‑related considerations.
The successful applicant will:
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across Canadian provinces; support policy development, training, documentation, and reporting.
- Provide HR support including employee relations, policy interpretation, training coordination, and company‑wide HR communications.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs, surveys, action planning, stay interviews, and retention strategies.
- Conduct regular touchpoints and performance reviews for direct reports.
- Support recruitment activities by preparing offer letters and assisting with special HR projects (employer branding, swag, policy updates).
- Assist with terminations and other HR operational needs.
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:
- Post‑secondary education in HR Management; CHRP designation or in progress.
- 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in distribution, pharma, or medical technology.
- Strong knowledge of employment standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
