We are seeking an Indigenous Management Trainee to join our team and participate in a structured leadership development program designed to prepare Indigenous talent for future leadership opportunities within Civeo Crown Services Employees LP.

This exciting opportunity provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business, allowing participants to build leadership, operational, and business management skills while working alongside experienced managers and industry professionals. Through mentorship, practical learning, and exposure to various functional departments, the successful candidate will gain valuable knowledge and experience that will support their long-term career growth within the organization.

The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills. They will have a commitment to personal and professional development and a desire to grow into a leadership role within a dynamic and diverse work environment.

This position follows a rotational schedule of 20 days on and 10 days off, and may include days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays as operationally required. The Management Trainee Program is expected to span up to 18 months, during which participants will complete a series of developmental assignments, training opportunities, and leadership experiences. Upon successful completion of the program, participants may be considered for future career advancement opportunities based on their performance, demonstrated competencies, and business needs.

Key Skill Development:

Through this role, the selected Indigenous Management Trainee will have the opportunity to develop and enhance skills in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in various facets of Lodge Operations, including Housekeeping, Culinary, Front Office Administration, Human Resources, and Labour Relations.

  • Skills in planning, Safe Work Practices, and other pertinent areas of business pertaining to catering and lodge management.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform "hands-on" field work, mastering physical demands and labor-intensive tasks, while adapting to extended hours in remote locations.

  • Commitment to learning and understanding tasks at each stage of the training program, encompassing proper work procedures, job planning, safety protocols, cost awareness, and the cultivation of team and customer relations.

  • Adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with health and safety regulations, always ensuring the maintenance of safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Self-identify as Indigenous 

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

  • Familiar with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Outgoing and self-motivated.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

  • Demonstrates curiosity and a strong willingness to learn.

  • Positive attitude and a team-player.

  • Able to work well independently and within team environment.

  • Willing and able to travel.

  • Possess a valid Class 5 Drivers license and driver abstract that meets company’s Safe Vehicle Use policy.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test

  • Previous camp experience is an asset.
