About the role
STRUMIS is looking for a key contributor for the North American sales team to drive new business and help maintain our rapid growth objectives within Canada.
STRUMIS develops and implements software solutions for the global steel fabrication industry. Our solutions enable fabricators of steel structures, stairs, aluminum fabrications, industrial equipment, shipbuilding, and piping systems to drive increased efficiency and improved profitability.
As a Sales Account Executive for STRUMIS, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue targets through outbound prospecting, finding new opportunities, contract negotiation, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You’ll develop a sales plan for your territory and execute on your strategy. This role requires an advanced level of understanding of the specific needs of companies in the structural & miscellaneous steel industry, and experience in sales of software systems or SaaS solutions. Your target market will include fabrication companies ranging in size from SMB’s to large enterprises. We prefer candidates based in Canada near a major airport, with professional fluency in French and English, but will make exceptions for highly qualified applicants.
Your key contributions are
Effective collaboration with internal teams including Sales Development, Account Management, Marketing, and Customer Success resources. Assess & understand client CBI’s, and position solutions that address their requirements. Prepare value propositions, proposals, and negotiate contracts that result in a mutually beneficial outcome. Develop and execute strategic sales plan to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded. Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, and serve as their primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries. Research and stay abreast of developments including market trends, competition, and new developments in the steel fabrication industry to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
We are searching for candidates with the following skills or experience, but will train the right individual who brings either a strong software sales background or has specialized industry knowledge:
Proven track record of success selling software and services, with an emphasis on MRP, ERP, MES, MIS, and steel detailing systems. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills including software demonstrations. Able to develop a strong value proposition and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This is a remote position, so you must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a distributed team in a competitive and fast-paced environment. You should be able to demonstrate proficiency in CRM and marketing automation tools such as HubSpot.
You will be expected to attain a suitable level of proficiency with the STRUMIS estimating & MIS system. Able and willing to travel as needed across Canada to customer sites, trade shows and events, and internal meetings domestically and internationally.
