About the role

At PwC, our Operations & Procurement consulting practice partners with clients across industries to enhance their core operations, supply chain, and procurement functions. Our goal is to help organizations reduce costs, improve service, and mitigate risks through tailored solutions. We provide end-to-end advisory services covering procurement strategy and category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship and performance management, inventory and network optimization, demand & supply planning (S&OP), process and operating model redesign, and digital/analytics enablement—including automation, business intelligence, and procurement platform implementations. As an Associate in our Operations & Procurement consulting team, you will play a vital role in supporting project delivery by blending analytical rigor, commercial curiosity, and a passion for learning. You will contribute actively to diagnostics, analysis, and implementation activities that enable clients to achieve measurable operational improvements, while you grow your consulting expertise through structured coaching and hands-on experience.

Meaningful Work You’ll Be Part Of

As an Associate, Operations & Procurement, Consulting (Bilingual FR/EN), you will be a core member of diverse project teams delivering complex engagements across Canada—ranging from targeted assessments and pilots to comprehensive, large-scale digital transformations. Collaborating closely with client teams, onshore and offshore PwC colleagues, and third-party vendors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting data collection, cleansing, and analysis to underpin diagnostics and opportunity assessments.
  • Conducting root-cause analyses and building financial and operational models to quantify improvement opportunities and assess trade-offs.
  • Assisting with procurement assessments, the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies, and supplier evaluations.
  • Contributing to inventory, logistics, and S&OP analyses, as well as baseline performance assessments to enhance demand and supply planning processes.
  • Supporting implementation activities such as procurement platform/ERP enablement, process redesign, piloting, testing, and change management to embed new ways of working.
  • Facilitating process mapping, value stream workshops, and documentation of current and future state processes.
  • Leveraging analytics and visualization tools to generate insights and prioritize solutions; Preparing clear, client-ready presentations and deliverables under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Participating in client meetings and workshops and communicating findings to both clients and internal project teams.
  • Engaging in your personal development through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to travel up to 70% as needed to support client delivery and project success.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operation Management or a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience (including internships, co-ops, or early career roles) in consulting, operations, supply chain, procurement, or related functions.
  • Strong foundational understanding of procurement and supply chain concepts, including category management, sourcing, supplier management, and inventory basics.

Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:

  • Category management and strategic sourcing (direct and/or indirect)

  • Supplier relationship and performance management

  • Spend analytics and procurement assessments

  • Distribution, Inventory, transportation, and logistics optimization

  • DC design and system integration, as an example: WMS, TMS, OMS

  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP)

  • Procurement/ERP platform implementation and testing (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, SAP, Oracle)

  • Operating model and governance design for operations, supply chain, and procurement

  • Process mapping and value-stream redesign in operations, supply chain, and procurement

  • Experience developing presentations and visualizations (PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau basics).

  • Familiarity with data tools or programming languages (SQL, Python, Alteryx) is an asset; and strong analytical and modeling skills using simulation tools and AI.

  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels and lead workstreams.

  • High professional integrity, a collaborative mindset, proactive ownership of assignments, and a strong desire to learn, flexibility and willingness to travel as required.

  • The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
