Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for two Senior Foreperson, Station Services to join our Stations team!
What You Will Do
In this role you will assist with the planning, management and co-ordination of programs and activities associated with ensuring our subway stations remain clean and safe for the public and TTC employees. You will coordinate project oriented heavy cleaning work and develop and adjust budgets and work schedules to meet changing priorities. You will work to ensure that station facilities are maintained in accordance with quality index rating standards and department budget guidelines.
Other responsibilities of your role will include:
- Coordinate heavy maintenance cleaning projects and station upkeep.
- Develop, implement, and adjust work plans and schedules based on priorities such as emergencies, renovations, and special events.
- Establish and enforce cleaning standards while ensuring compliance.
- Create contingency plans for maintenance-related disruptions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff across trades and operations.
- Estimate labor/material costs and monitor expenditures against the budget.
- Maintain adequate supplies and equipment across work sites.
- Coordinate station maintenance with other departments and external agencies.
- Oversee procurement, contracts, staffing, attendance, and workforce monitoring.
- Ensure staff are properly trained on equipment, policies, safety regulations, and procedures.
- Maintain equipment functionality and readiness.
- Prepare reports, estimates, and correspondence for management review.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Evaluate new materials and equipment while staying current with industry practices.
- Promote a respectful and disciplined work environment while resolving complaints and grievances.
- Consistently apply the attendance management program and complete performance reviews while supporting employee development.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements, TTC policies, and relevant legislation.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead health and safety initiatives, including training and emergency responses.
- Represent the department in union meetings, hearings, and arbitrations.
- Operate TTC vehicles for site visits and act as Assistant Manager when required.
- Will be required to substitute for the Manager during periods of absence.
- Responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service-provider and an employer.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- A community college certificate/diploma in a relevant discipline such as maintenance or facilities management, or equivalent education, combined with directly related experience working in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a unionized environment where the concepts of cleaning large commercial or industrial buildings is practiced.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, materials, and equipment for station and facility upkeep.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., OHSA, WHMIS, Human Rights Code, Environmental and Transportation of Dangerous Goods).
- Understanding of project management principles; ability to develop and adjust schedules, standards, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership/supervisory, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Budgeting knowledge and proficiency with maintenance management systems and MS Office.
- Must have a valid province of Ontario class “G” driver’s license.
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.

What You Will Do
