What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving, stocking, transfer, and delivery of parts to ensure technicians and branches have what they need for timely repairs.
- Maintain shop supplies and monitor inventory levels; process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims as required.
- Open, update, and close work orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed.
- Schedule and track equipment service and maintenance, balancing technician availability with customer and fleet needs.
- Prepare and provide quotes and estimates for repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding service timelines, equipment status, and parts availability.
- Match packing slips to receivers and invoices to support efficient accounts payable processing.
- Work closely with the Service and Shop teams to prioritize work orders and minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain organized records and reports on service schedules, equipment history, and parts usage.
- Support compliance with company policies, warranty processes, and safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment and uphold The Cooper Difference.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, retail, or the construction equipment industry; rental industry experience is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge of construction or heavy equipment parts, service procedures, and maintenance practices is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, technicians, and vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with service or inventory management systems (Systematics or similar) is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in order tracking, scheduling, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and urgent service needs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company standards.
- High level of accountability, professionalism, and pride in your work.
