People & Culture Operations Specialist (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

As Operations Specialist, you will provide a great service experience to employees and managers needing assistance from People & Culture. You will also be partnering with People & Culture professionals on the regional and global team to support with their projects and day-to-day process tasks.
This position is based in our Toronto office. We are operating in a hybrid environment, where we are in office 3 days/week currently with plans to shift to 4 days a week coming likely within the year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the front-line support for People & Culture-related questions and inquiries from employees and managers.
- Provide accurate and timely responses within defined SLAs; Liaise with other People & Culture domain experts, business partners and Workday team as appropriate, to address more complex inquiries.
- Identify, implement, and continually improve the internal customer service processes, procedures, and infrastructure necessary to enable a global People & Culture “help desk” capability and deliver a first-class customer experience.
- Guide employees and managers through People & Culture processes; with a strong focus on the onboarding of new employees. As a central resource with a unique cross-team view of activities and repetitive work practices, continually scan for and surface inefficiencies and opportunities to streamline or transform processes and practices across the People & Culture function.
- Support with project execution in partnership with other People & Culture team members in areas such as analytics, process improvements, transformation, program enhancements or new program launches, organizational change, information management, HRIS, and communications.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to develop professionally and improve team/department effectiveness (i.e., do not wait to be invited)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree, with a focus in Human Resources, or its equivalent.
- 1-2 years of professional experience and a proven track record in People & Culture or in a service, project management, or analytic function.
- Desire to learn about the People & Culture function and the domains within.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, behave professionally, and proactively take responsibility.
- Ability to work collaboratively or on an independent basis.
- Demonstration of a high level of discretion and candor relating to sensitive or confidential information.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems on a strategic level.
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
Base Salary Compensation Range
$60,023.00-88,054.33
